EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION

Comprehensive Early Childhood Education

FCF provides a high-quality early childhood experience to prepare children for kindergarten and life-long learning. In addition, FCF provides holistic family support services to ensure that families are self-sufficient. If your child is three or four years of age, your family may qualify for the Head Start program.

Services Include:


  • Four hour class sessions Tuesday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and from 12:00p.m. – 4:00 p.m.;
  • Breakfast and lunch for the morning classes, and lunch and snack for the afternoon classes;
  • A classroom staffed with a Teacher, Assistant Teacher and community/parent volunteers;
  • Screening and on-going assessment of your children to track developmental progress;
  • Classroom staff/child ratio at a maximum of one to ten.


Curriculum


Friends of Children and FAmilies, Inc. uses the Creative Curriculum as it's main classroom curriculum. In addition, it utilizes Chef Combo, Talking About Touching, and Second Step.
