HEAD START SERVICES
Services for 3 and 4 years of age.
All children...need early child development experiences that honor their unique characteristics and provide love, warmth, and positive learning experiences; and all families need encouragement and support from their community so they can achieve their own goals and provide a safe and nurturing environment for their very young children.

FCF provides a high-quality early childhood experience to prepare children for kindergarten and life-long learning. In addition, FCF provides holistic family support services to ensure that families are self-sufficient. If your child is three or four years of age, your family may qualify for the Head Start program.

In addition, FCF provides holistic family support services to ensure that families are self-sufficient. FCF Head Start Child and Parent
Services Include:
- Four hour sessions class sessions Tuesday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and from 12:00p.m. – 4:00 p.m.;
- Breakfast and lunch is provided in the morning sessions and lunch and snack in afternoon sessions;
- Each classroom session is staffed with a Teacher, Assistant Teacher and community/parent volunteers;
- Each family working with a Family Advocate gets a minimum of four home visits per year;
- Parent learning opportunities and trainings (parenting classes, nutrition classes), health information/education, assistance in furthering education, and information on community resources;
- Screening and on-going assessment of their children to track developmental progress;
- Classroom staff/child ratio is a maximum of one to ten.
- Referrals to community resources and services;
- Transition planning help as your child prepares to enter Kindergarten;
