FCF Head Start children

FCF provides a comprehensive child health program that includes:


  • Pre-enrollment health and nutrition histories;
  • Immunization status review;
  • Developmental, sensory and behavioral screenings within 45 days of enrollment;
  • Routine health and developmental screenings for children, such as physical, vision, hearing, dental, mental health and disabilities;
  • Well Child exams and dental exams;
  • Medical and dental referrals and treatment;
  • Integrated education program that encourages families to establish medical insurance and a Medical Home and Dental Home;
  • Diverse classroom and home visit activities designed for children to learn safety, personal hygiene, self help and disease prevention skills;
  • Assists parents with coordination and travel for identified specialty care;
  • Through early identification special services are coordinated promptly;
  • Consultation with a Certified Nutritionist.
