Heading

The goal of Family Services is to assist families in making use of their own resources in combination with the resources available in the community to contribute to personal growth.  Family Advocates and Family Educators help families to identify strengths and needs.  They provide assistance with community resource referrals in health care, education, mental health, economic assistance, food, and housing.

- Family Advocates will do home visits with the families, beginning in August, at least four times a year.  Family Educators do weekly home visits with prenatal moms and families.

- Educational workshops are scheduled during the year and parents are always invited to attend.  These are opportunities to share information between parents and staff, to get acquainted with other parents, to learn and to have fun.

- Every family enrolled in FCF Head Start and Early Head Start has the opportunity to participate in the development of a Family Partnership Agreement.  This process can help define each family’s short-term and long-term goals in areas that they identify.  Family Advocates and Family Educators respect every family’s decision in setting their own goals.
