Head Start & Early Head Start

Reading with your child is a great way to spend time together and helps prepare them for school.

FCF values parents as individuals and invites them to be active participants at all levels of program planning and classroom activities.  We are dedicated to helping parents recognize their achievements and supporting their efforts to provide a healthy, safe, enriched social environment for themselves and their children.  Parent involvement is highly encouraged and is essential to the successful functioning of Head Start/Early Head Start.

Parents share in the decision-making process of FCF, and are involved in all aspects of the program.   This participation gives parents the opportunity to make a real contribution to their child’s educational experience.  Here are some ways that parents can be involved: 

 

-as a classroom volunteer

-field trip monitor

-Policy Council ember

-Parent Center Committee member

-by serving on committees that plan special events

-by attending parent meetings and activities

-and by sharing special talents
